October Surprise Spiced Hot Chocolate

  • 1/4 cup Ground Sweetened Cocoa
  • 2 cups milk (nonfat or whatever, your preference)
  • A pinch of ground clove (about 1/8 tsp.)
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg


Pour milk in a heavy saucepan and heat over low heat. When milk begins to steam, but is not boiling, add the Ground Sweetened Cocoa and whisk continuously until blended.  Whisk in spices and heat to serving temperature. Do not allow to boil. Makes about 2-3 nice mugs of cocoa.
