Why do these flavors represent the PNW?
Hazelnuts: Oregon grows 99% of the United States' commercial supply of hazelnuts.
Marionberry (Rubus L. subgenus Rubus) is a cultivar of blackberry released in 1956 by the USDA Agricultural Research Service breeding program in cooperation with Oregon State University and named after Marion County, Oregon, where the berry was bred and tested extensively in the mid-20th century.
Coffee was a staple of the PNW long before mermaids started gracing cups in nationwide stores. In fact, the first commercial roasting operations in Seattle began in the 1880s, and the first coffeehouses in that city started appearing in the 1940s.
Cherries are Oregon's 4th-most-important fruit crop.
- How long do they last? Always start by checking the best-by dates, but our gift box assortments are typically dated for up to about 9 months from date of manufacture.
- Can I store them past the best-by date? Yes! If you want to extend the shelf-life of our truffles beyond their best-by date, we recommend double-bagging for moisture protection; once they're wrapped, they can be frozen until you're ready for them! Then, simply allow them to thaw for 24 hours in a refrigerator before taking them out of their double-bag.
- Can chocolate truffles be shipped? Yes! They will be shipped with ice and insulated packaging during the warmer months.
